Course Overview

What This Course Is

The Forex Trading course at Next Minds Infosys is a 3-month, structured training program that teaches you to analyze currency markets, identify trade setups, manage risk and build a personal trading strategy. You will learn on demo accounts using live market data, so you develop real skills without risking real capital during the course.

The course covers 17 modules: from understanding how the global forex market works, through candlestick patterns, chart patterns, support and resistance, multi-timeframe analysis, fundamental analysis, risk management, position sizing, trading psychology and strategy building, all the way to a final project with live market simulation and trade journaling. Every concept you learn is immediately practiced on charts with real price action.

We built this course around what separates consistently profitable traders from those who blow up their accounts. Most people who lose money in forex do not lose because they cannot read a chart. They lose because they do not manage risk, do not follow a plan, and do not control their psychology. Modules 11 through 14 — risk management, position sizing, trading psychology and trading plan building — are the core of this course, not an afterthought. Technical analysis without risk management is gambling, and we do not teach gambling.

Important regulatory context. Forex trading for Nepali citizens involves regulatory considerations under Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) guidelines. NRB restricts the remittance of funds abroad for speculative investment purposes, which affects how Nepali residents can fund international forex broker accounts. This course teaches forex analysis, strategy and risk management as a skill set. How you choose to apply these skills — through authorized channels, demo trading, proprietary firm challenges, or applying technical analysis to Nepal's stock market (NEPSE) — is your responsibility. We recommend consulting a financial or legal advisor regarding NRB compliance before trading with real capital through any international broker. The regulatory landscape is covered in detail in Module 1.

The fee is NPR 25,000 as of August 2026. Installment payment options are available.

Common Mistakes We See in Every Cohort

These are the three patterns we correct most often.

Skipping risk management and jumping to "which pair should I trade?" Every cohort has students who want signals and entry points from day one. They glaze over during the risk management modules, then risk 10% of their account on a single demo trade and blow up in two days. The curriculum puts risk management (Modules 11 to 12) before strategy building (Module 14) and demo practice (Modules 15 to 17) for exactly this reason. You do not get to trade until you can calculate position size and set a proper stop-loss.

Trading without a written plan. Most losses do not come from bad analysis. They come from impulsive decisions: entering because "it looks like it might go up", moving a stop-loss because "it's about to turn around", or doubling down on a loser. Module 14 forces every student to write a plan with specific rules, and during the final project we check whether you followed your own rules. If you did not, the analysis does not matter.

Thinking more screen time means more profit. Students who stare at charts for eight hours a day make worse decisions than those who analyze for 30 minutes, identify setups, place orders and walk away. Overtrading is the number one account killer we see. Doing nothing is a valid trading decision, and often the best one.

  • Explain how the global forex market works: participants, sessions, currency pair mechanics and market structure
  • Read and interpret candlestick charts across multiple timeframes
  • Identify candlestick patterns — doji, engulfing, hammer, shooting star, morning and evening star — and what they signal
  • Identify chart patterns — head and shoulders, double tops and bottoms, triangles, flags, wedges — and trade them with defined entries and exits
  • Draw support and resistance zones accurately and use them for trade planning
  • Conduct multi-timeframe analysis, using higher timeframes for direction and lower ones for entries
  • Read an economic calendar and understand how interest rates, GDP and employment data affect currency pairs
  • Calculate position size from account balance, risk percentage and stop-loss distance
  • Set stop-loss and take-profit levels based on market structure rather than arbitrary numbers
  • Build a written trading plan with rules for entry, exit, risk per trade and daily loss limits
  • Maintain a structured trade journal and run weekly performance reviews
  • Recognize and manage overtrading, revenge trading, fear of missing out and the urge to move stop-losses
  • Execute trades on MetaTrader 4/5 and analyze charts in TradingView
  • Complete a live market simulation project with a documented performance report

Career Scope

Career Scope: What You Can Do With Forex Trading Skills

Forex trading is not a salaried career path in the traditional sense, so this section replaces the salary tables used on our other course pages. Here is what you can realistically do with these skills.

Trade on demo accounts to build and test strategies. Before risking any capital you can spend months refining your strategy on demo accounts with live market data. This is where most of your learning happens after the course ends. Consistent demo performance over 3 to 6 months is the minimum benchmark before considering live trading.

Apply technical analysis to Nepal's stock market (NEPSE). Chart reading, pattern recognition, support and resistance analysis and risk management apply directly to trading stocks on NEPSE. Many of our students use these techniques on NEPSE charts as their primary application.

Pursue proprietary trading (prop firm) funded accounts. Prop firms offer funded accounts where you trade the firm's capital for a share of profits, after passing an evaluation on a demo account with specific rules. This is a growing pathway for traders in countries where personal capital transfer to offshore brokers is restricted. Module 15 covers evaluation preparation.

Work in financial analysis or advisory roles. Understanding technical and fundamental analysis, macroeconomic indicators and risk management makes you a stronger candidate at banks, investment firms, brokerage houses and financial advisory companies in Nepal.

Teach or mentor other aspiring traders. Once you have developed consistent results, trading education is a viable income path. The market for structured, responsible trading education in Nepal is growing.

Build a skill set for international opportunities. Financial analyst, market research and trading desk roles at international firms require exactly the skills this course teaches.

Before You Enroll

Realistic Expectations

Forex trading is not a guaranteed income source. Most retail traders lose money, primarily because they skip risk management, trade without a plan and let emotions drive decisions. This course exists specifically to prevent those outcomes by teaching discipline first and technique second.

We do not promise returns, profits or financial independence. We teach a structured skill. What you do with it, and how much discipline you apply, determines your results.
